What is PCE's mission?
To continue our legacy of providing professional construction planning, management and
general contracting services to value-conscious owners by building and maintaining
mutually beneficial relationships.
What is PCE's vision for the future?
To demonstrate leadership in the mid-Missouri construction industry. Our success
will be measured by the value and service we provide to our clients, the growth
and productivity of the firm and our employees, and the contribution we make to our
community.
What is PCE's philosophy? How will you accomplish your goals?
Our company will achieve success and growth by building and maintaining successful
relationships with our clients. We will expand our markets by consistently meeting the
needs of our existing clients, who are our best resource for additional work and by
selectively pursuing new client relationships that best utilize our capability and
experience.
What is PCE's primary market?
PCE operates primarily in a market area within a 90-mile radius of Columbia, Missouri. We have
extensive experience in a variety of market segments including: medical, office, schools,
industrial, retail, churches, and special projects (e.g. airport hangars, Missouri
Veterans Memorial, treatment plants, and reservoirs).
What is the largest project PCE can handle? Can it be bonded?
PCE's bonds are underwritten by Fidelity and Deposit of Maryland and represented by
George Siebers & Co., Inc. Our standard single project bonding limits are approximately
$20 million, while our annual program of work limits exceed $20 million.
How does PCE manage a typical project?
Each PCE project is under the responsibility of a company principal. This principal may
act as the project manager or will work closely with the project manager to assure the
successful completion of the project. The project manager is supported by a project
engineer and working project superintendent.
What special services does PCE offer?
While PCE generally acts as the prime general contractor, we have experience in other
methods of construction delivery including construction management at risk and design-build.
Our extensive involvement with negotiated "guaranteed maximum price" contracts has
enabled us to become proficient with both pre-construction as well as construction phase
services.
Is Design/Build a viable alternative to conventional construction?
Absolutely! We believe Design/Build is the preferred method for owners looking to maximize
the value of their construction investment. In order to provide the best means of offering
Design/Build services, we created Diamond Design Build, LLC. (DDB). DDB is uniquely
licensed and insured to offer owners the availability of single-source design and
construction responsibility.
What is PCE's key to project success?
Each project and client will have unique expectations which must be exceeded to achieve
the greatest measure of success. However, our focus on "partnering" with each client is
our foundation for building this success. Partnering is a process to establish mutual
goals for the project team members and to insure that the critical elements of partnering
- commitment, communication, trust and teamwork - are integral to the project.
How can PCE best help your project?
